Weekend Tasting: A Summer Down Under

Come join us this weekend for our tasting of Australian wines. The tasting features six wines for $17 and runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday upon availability. Tasting notes and bottle prices are as follows:

’09 Crossings Sauvignon Blanc $13.99

’10 Cape Mentelle White $15.99

Freshly cut passionfruit, lime rind and wild blackberry feature with fragrant jasmine and sweet cinnamon quill. Delicate yet full, the palate is distinctively lemon and lime with subtle s tar anise, lemongrass and clove. Richness and weight are balanced with fresh acidity, giving direction and finesse. ’06 Eradus Pinot Noir $24.99

The nose is quintessentially Pinot Noir. The palate has lovely fruit characters with excellent structure, silky tannins and a nice weight throughout. The finish is smooth and long with a hint of acidity.  Marlborough, New Zealand

’05 Green Point Shiraz Reserve $22.99

’02 Strathewen Hills Shiraz “Tribal Elder” $59.99
